Anejo, Togo: A West African Pearl Where History Meets the Coast
Anejo is a historic city in the south of the West African country of Togo, located about 37 kilometers north of the capital Lomé, bordering the Gulf of Guinea, and is one of the most important coastal towns in Togo. Once the administrative center of the German colonial period, the city still retains its 19th century colonial old town, with its quaint churches, traditional architecture and tropical atmosphere, attracting both history buffs and tourists.
