Sankulani, Malawi
Sankhani is a town in the southern part of Malawi, about 60 kilometers east of Blantyre, located in the upper Shire River valley, surrounded by agriculture as the main economic activity, producing maize, tobacco and peanuts and other crops. The region has a savannah climate, with two rainy and dry seasons throughout the year, and an average annual temperature of about 20-25°C, which is suitable for crop growth. The local population is predominantly Chichewa, and traditional handicrafts such as basketry and pottery are quite distinctive, retaining a strong African tribal culture.
