Skarftafed is a nature reserve in southeastern Iceland, located within the Vatna Glacier National Park, about 330 kilometers from Reykjavík. The area is known for its magnificent glaciers, volcanic landscapes and diverse nature and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland.
Skaftafjord is home to iconic attractions such as the Svartifoss Waterfall (Black Falls), the Skaftafjord Glacier and the Ice Tongue.
