Tianquan, Sichuan: Ecological Gateway and Green Pearl of Western Sichuan
Tianquan is located in the western part of Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, in the transition zone from the Sichuan Basin to the Tibetan Plateau, and is an important node of the ecotourism loop in western Sichuan and a major gateway to Tibet. With over 70% forest coverage, the county has core scenic spots such as Horn River and Erlang Mountain, of which Horn River is famous for its rare flora and fauna (e.g. wild takin) and alpine canyon scenery, making it a "natural oxygen bar" and ecological study destination.
