Yongchuan District is located in the western part of Chongqing Municipality, China, an important part of Chongqing's main city metropolitan area, and at the core of the twin-city economic circle of the Chengdu-Chongqing region. With an area of 1,576 square kilometers and a resident population of about 1.14 million, the district is dominated by low mountainous and hilly landscapes, with a subtropical monsoon humid climate.

Economic and Industrial Characteristics

Yongchuan is an important modern manufacturing base and regional center city of Chongqing, forming three leading industries, namely, intelligent equipment, auto parts and electronic information. Yongchuan National Hi-tech Zone has gathered leading enterprises such as Great Wall Motors and Yadi Electric Vehicle, while relying on the advantages of Vocational Education City to build a vocational education base in the west, with 17 vocational colleges and universities and 160,000 students.

Cultural tourism and ecological resources

The city has a 1,200-acre Chashan Bamboo Sea Forest Park and a 23-kilometer urban green corridor, and was once awarded the title of China's model district for livability and workability. The city is rich in tourism resources, including the national AAAA level scenic spot Chashan Bamboo Sea, Lehe Ledu Theme Park (the largest wildlife world in Southwest China), and historical and cultural relics such as Song溉古镇. Specialties such as Yongchuan Xiuya tea and tempeh enjoy a good reputation.

Advantages of Transportation Location

As a transportation hub node of Chengdu-Chongqing, Yongchuan is connected by a number of trunk lines such as Yukun High Speed Railway, Chengdu-Chongqing Railway, Chongqing Third Ring Highway, etc., and is about one hour's drive away from the main city of Chongqing and Chengdu. The Yangtze River flows through the south end with Zhutuo deep-water port, forming a three-dimensional transportation network of land, water and air.
