Located in the south of Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, China, Mackerel Circle is an important coastal city in the Liaodong Bay Economic Zone and a shipping hub in Northeast Asia. As a state-level economic and technological development zone, it is home to Yingkou Port, a modern deep-water port with the highest annual throughput in the country, and is a key gateway for opening to the outside world in the northeast region.
The area covers a total area of about 268 square kilometers, with a resident population of over 500,000 people. The economy is dominated by port logistics, equipment manufacturing and coastal tourism. Attractions such as Mackerel Beach and Shanhai Square attract a large number of tourists, and winter ice and snow activities are unique. Local seafood resources are abundant, known for Spanish mackerel cooking, a blend of northeastern cuisine and marine flavor.
The transportation network is well-developed, with the Harbin-Dalian high-speed railway and the Shenhai high-speed railway running through the whole territory, and the Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport and Yingkou Lanqi Airport are both within an hour's drive away. In recent years, it has focused on the development of new energy and port industries, and continued to optimize the business environment, becoming one of the growth poles of Liaoning's coastal economic belt.
