Located in the northwestern part of Chongqing Municipality in China, Hechuan is an important strategic pivot point of Chongqing's main city metropolitan area and is situated at the confluence of the Jialing, Fuling and Qiu Rivers, and has been known as the "River City" and the "Famous Town of Bayu".
