Malolos, Philippines: Historical and Economic Center of Bulacan Province
Malolos is the capital of the province of Bulacan in the Philippines, located north of Metro Manila in central Luzon, about 48 kilometers from the capital city of Manila. The city occupies an important place in Philippine history, having served as the temporary capital of the First Republic during the Philippine Revolution of 1898, symbolizing the spirit of the struggle for independence. Malolos has a rich cultural heritage, such as the Barasoain Church, which witnessed the birth of the Philippine Constitution and is now a National Historic Landmark.
