Martíenzo, in the province of Almería in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain, is a small inland town with a traditional flavor. Located in southeastern Spain, at the foot of the Sierra Alhamilla mountain range, it is surrounded by an arid and unique semi-desert landscape that forms a magnificent natural backdrop.
Martínzo is known for its typical Andalusian Pueblos Blancos (white villages), with narrow streets, whitewashed houses and old churches forming the core of the town's landscape. The local economy is predominantly agricultural, known for its olive and almond cultivation and vineyards, and retains a strong sense of rural life.
Despite its small size, the area around Martienso boasts several hiking routes to explore the unique ecosystem of the Alhamelia Natural Park. In addition, the town is conveniently located about 50 kilometers from the city of Almeria, making it an ideal place to experience the culture and natural beauty of the Andalusian interior.
