Famous for its well-developed fishing and seafood processing industries, the province boasts the country's largest seafood market, Madhan Market, which supplies Bangkok and the rest of the country with fresh catches every day. As an important part of the Bangkok metropolitan area, Lon Chai Chok is also an important industrial base focusing on food processing, petrochemical and logistics industries, and is conveniently connected to Bangkok via several highways. In addition, the local area is a unique destination to experience Thailand's coastal industries and diverse cultures with a blend of Thai and Chinese cultural features, ancient Chinese temples and traditional fishing villages.
