Sirajganj is an important city in northwestern Bangladesh, located in Dhaka sub-district on the north bank of the Padma River, a tributary of the Ganges. As the administrative center of Sirajganj District, the city is a regional transportation hub and commercial center, known for its agricultural trade, jute processing and textile industry. The city has a long history dating back to the Mughal Empire and retains ancient mosques and traditional bazaars.
