The town of Tianzhong is located in the southeastern part of Changhua County, Taiwan Province of China, at the junction of the Changhua Plain and the Bagua Plateau. The area was formerly known as "Tianzhong", so named because it was surrounded by rice paddies during its early development. With a total area of about 34.6 square kilometers and a population of about 40,000, it is a typical agricultural market town.
Tianzhong Township has the Tianzhong Station of the Taiwan Railway Longitudinal Line, and the Changhua Station of the High Speed Rail is also located here, making it an important transportation node. The town produces high-quality rice, honey and fruits, and the annual "Tanaka Marathon" has become a well-known event in Taiwan. The town also retains traditional cultural buildings such as the century-old Gushan Temple and Chautian Palace.
Adjacent to the Bagua Mountain Range on the east side, the town is rich in natural ecological resources. The local residents are predominantly of Minnan descent and retain strong Minnan cultural traditions, including Taiwanese opera, traditional festivals and other folk activities. In recent years, it has been actively developing tourist agriculture, combining rice landscapes with bicycle paths to create a unique tourism experience.
