Virgin Gorda is one of the main islands of the British Virgin Islands, located in the northeastern Caribbean Sea. The island can be reached via Tortola by transferring to a ferry or charter flight. The local culture is a blend of African, European and Caribbean elements, with the Virgin Gorda Festival each spring showcasing traditional music, dance and cuisine. The islanders are predominantly Christian, the official language is English and the US dollar is used as currency.
