Introduction to Wubu, Shaanxi, China
Wubao County is located in the northeastern part of Shaanxi Province and southeastern part of Yulin City, China, on the west bank of the middle reaches of the Yellow River, across the river from Shanxi Province. It has a total area of 428 square kilometers and a population of about 80,000 people. As part of the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi, Wubao is dominated by hilly and gully terrain, with a temperate continental monsoon climate and four distinct seasons.
Wubao has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation, with cultural landscapes such as the Shicheng Ruins and the Yellow River moraine. The economy is mainly based on agriculture, producing red dates, millet and other specialties, while developing tourism and energy industries. The transportation is convenient, with the Qingyin Expressway and the Tai-Zhongyin Railway passing through the city, connecting Shaanxi and Shanxi.
