Baghdati is a town in the Imereti Region of western Georgia, located about 260 kilometers west of the capital Tbilisi, on the periphery of the Rioni River valley, surrounded by vineyards and orchards, and is one of Georgia's important agricultural regions. The region is known for its traditional winemaking, producing wines of local grape varieties that are full-bodied and well loved.
