Located in the south of Morocco, at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, Aït Benhaddou is a UNESCO-recognized World Heritage Site. This well-preserved ancient village is famous for its unique clay complex, with its traditional polygonal fortresses and staggered adobe houses, perfectly demonstrating the architectural ingenuity and lifestyle of the Berbers. As an important post for the ancient Saharan caravans to Marrakech, it was once a trading hub for salt, gold and other commodities, and still retains its medieval simplicity. The Kasbah (fortress) in the village is winding and undulating, and at dusk it takes on a golden hue under the setting sun, just like a picture scroll frozen in time. It has also been the setting for many international film and television productions, such as Game of Thrones and Gladiator, making this thousand-year-old village a cultural landmark connecting history and modernity, and attracting tourists from all over the world to explore the deep heritage of Morocco.
