Blitimet is an important city in the western part of Mauritania, located in the southwestern part of the country in the Terrazza region, about 160 kilometers from the capital city of Nouakchott. As a regional administrative center, the city serves as an important transportation hub connecting the interior of Mauritania with the coastal region.
