King Airport (IATA: STT) is the main international airport of the U.S. Virgin Islands, located approximately 3 kilometers east of Charlotte Amalie, the capital of St. Thomas, and is responsible for more than 90 percent of the Islands' air passenger traffic. As a central transportation hub for the Caribbean, the airport connects the U.S. mainland (Miami, New York, etc.) with the Caribbean islands and some European routes, and is a key gateway for visitors to the islands' beaches, resorts, and historic attractions.
