Sessé is an important city in Niassa Province, Mozambique, located in the northwest of the country, near the eastern region of Lake Malawi, and is the main transportation and commercial hub of southern Niassa Province. As a key node connecting Mozambique's interior with neighboring Malawi, the area around Xai Xai is dominated by agriculture and fisheries, with crops such as maize and cassava in abundance, and Lake Malawi's fishing resources energizing the local economy.
