Grouville is a parish and seaside town in the eastern part of the British Crown Dependency of Jersey, located in the heart of the French Isles next to St. Helier, and known for its dramatic cliff coastline, tranquil bays and deep Norman heritage. Named after the 11th century lords of the Norman Conquest, the town's history is evident in its streets, with the medieval church of St. Martin and traditional Norman farmhouses (corbillets) forming a unique landscape. St Aubin's Bay, Jersey's longest beach, is a popular spot for surfing, sunbathing and coastal walks, with its golden sand and turquoise waters. The town is also famous for its Jersey Black Cow dairy products and seafood, with fresh scallops and lobster served daily from the local fishing port, and the traditional pub, 'The Ship Inn', a must-visit for seafood bisque and Jersey cream. Away from the hustle and bustle, Grouville is a perfect blend of natural wilderness and history, making it an ideal destination for experiencing Jersey's slower lifestyle.
