Hurbanovo, Slovakia: an industrial and livable town on the Danube River
Hurbanovo is a small city in the Bratislava region of southern Slovakia, situated in the hinterland of the Danube River Plain, about 60 kilometers from the capital city of Bratislava, and is one of the most important industrial and agricultural centers in the region. The city is known for its chemical and energy industry, with large chemical plants and energy facilities, as well as its role as a transportation node in the Danube basin, with a good network of roads connecting neighboring towns. Despite its industrialization, Hamuliakovo retains a peaceful atmosphere, with a high percentage of green spaces and a Danube tributary providing recreational space for its residents.
