Jiahe County is part of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, China, located in the southern part of Hunan Province, adjacent to Guangdong Province, with a total area of about 699 square kilometers. The population is about 400,000, mainly Han Chinese, and it is a multi-ethnic mixed county. Jiahe has a long history and was founded in 1639, named after "Jiamei Wo Cang", and is known as the "Hometown of Folk Songs" and the "Hometown of Casting".
Jiahe is located at the northern foot of Nanling Mountain Range, with hilly terrain and subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The economy is mainly based on agriculture and industry, producing rice, tobacco and other crops, and the foundry industry is a nationally recognized industry, with products exported to overseas. In recent years, the tourism industry has gradually developed, relying on the natural landscape and cultural heritage to attract tourists.
Jiahe has a rich cultural heritage, and its folk songs are listed in the national intangible cultural heritage. Traditional festivals, such as the "Catch the Branch Society", are unique. Attractions include Jiu Lao Peak Scenic Spot and Pu Man Temple, combining natural scenery with humanistic history. The local cuisine is mainly Hunan cuisine, which is rich in spiciness and reflects the food culture of Hunan.
