Introduction to Nuruta, Uzbekistan
Nurota is an ancient city in the Navoi region of Uzbekistan, located in the center of the country, about 90 kilometers from Samarkand. The city is known for its long history and unique natural landscape, and was one of the important stops on the Silk Road.
Historical and Cultural Monuments
With over 2,500 years of history, Nuruta was once a border fortress of the ancient Persian Empire. The city's most famous landmarks are the Nuruta Mountains and the Chashma Spring, which, according to legend, was formed when the Prophet Muhammad's staff struck the ground and remains an important pilgrimage site in the region.
