Introduction to Dartse, Tibet, China
Dartse is a district under the jurisdiction of Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, located in the south-central part of Tibet and in the middle reaches of the Lhasa River, about 20 kilometers away from the center of Lhasa, with an average altitude of about 3,700 meters. The area is mainly agricultural, producing crops such as barley and wheat, while animal husbandry and tourism are also gradually developing. Dhartse is rich in Tibetan Buddhist cultural resources, such as the famous Ganden Monastery (one of the six major monasteries of the Gelugpa school) and natural landscapes, attracting many tourists and pilgrims.
