Dartse is a district under the jurisdiction of Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, located in the south-central part of Tibet and in the middle reaches of the Lhasa River, about 20 kilometers away from the center of Lhasa, with an average altitude of about 3,700 meters. The area is mainly agricultural, producing crops such as barley and wheat, while animal husbandry and tourism are also gradually developing. Dhartse is rich in Tibetan Buddhist cultural resources, such as the famous Ganden Monastery (one of the six major monasteries of the Gelugpa school) and natural landscapes, attracting many tourists and pilgrims. As an important part of the Lhasa metropolitan area, Dhazi's economy is characterized by a combination of tradition and modernity, with improving infrastructure and convenient transportation, connecting it to neighboring areas via National Highway 318 and other roads. The region's climate is highland temperate and semi-arid, with four distinct seasons, making it suitable for summer travel. Overall, Dartse is one of the key destinations for cultural and ecological tourism in Tibet.
