Jiamo: The Pearl of the Silk Road in Xinjiang's Southern Borderland
Located in the southern part of Bayin'guoleng Mongol Autonomous Prefecture in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and situated in the southeastern edge of the Tarim Basin and the northern foothills of the Kunlun Mountains, Zhimo County is an important node on the Southern Route of the Ancient Silk Road, and is also the second-largest county in China in terms of area (second only to Ruoqiang).
