Shurugwi, Zimbabwe: Mining Town and Agricultural Center
Located in south-central Zimbabwe, in the province of Mashonaland Central, about 100 kilometers from the capital Harare, Shurugwi is an important mining and agricultural town in the country. The area is known for its rich platinum and chromite resources, and the surrounding mines support the local economy and attract a large number of mining workers. Agriculturally, Shurugwi and the surrounding areas are rich in tobacco, maize and cotton, and are an important part of Zimbabwe's southern agricultural belt. The city's location on the high plateau makes it a pleasant place to live with a mild climate and an average annual temperature of around 18 degrees Celsius.
