Introduction to Tekeli, Kazakhstan
Tekeli is a city in southeastern Kazakhstan, located in Almaty Oblast, near the border with Kyrgyzstan. The city was founded in the 1940s, initially as a result of lead and zinc mining, and has a population of about 30,000 people. Situated at the northern foot of the Tien Shan mountain range, Tikli has a continental climate with cold winters and mild summers.
