Thiès, Senegal: Industrial and Transportation Hub of West Africa
Thiès, Senegal's third largest city, is located about 70 kilometers east of the capital, Dakar, and is an important industrial, transportation and cultural center for the country. As a railroad hub, it connects Dakar with landlocked countries such as Mali and Mauritania.
