Centennial is an unincorporated community in Albany County, Wyoming, United States, located in the southeastern part of the state near the Colorado border. It is situated on the western side of the Laramie Range, at an elevation of about 2,440 meters above sea level, and has a sparse population of about 270 (2020 estimate). The area is known for its long history of mining and logging, and was founded in 1876 to coincide with the United States' centennial, hence the name "Centennial".
Centennial is surrounded by natural beauty and is close to Medicine Bow National Forest, which offers outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and skiing. The climate is continental and alpine, with cold, snowy winters and mild summers. Community amenities are simple and include small stores, restaurants, and lodging, enticing visitors to explore the beauty of Wyoming's wilderness. It is easily accessible via Interstate 80 and U.S. Route 287.
