Dąbrowa Górnicza is a major city in the Silesian Voivodeship of Poland, located in the heart of the Katowice metropolitan area, with a population of about 120,000, and is one of the typical industrial cities of southern Poland. The city has a long history, having emerged in the 19th century as an important part of Poland's "Black Triangle" industrial region due to coal mining and the iron and steel industry, and still retains its mining cultural heritage, such as historic mines and industrial museums. Economically, in addition to traditional industries, the city has been actively transforming itself in recent years into a service and high-tech industry, with rapid growth in commerce and logistics. Conveniently located near the A4 highway and the Silesia International Airport, the city is connected to industrial cities such as Sosnowiec and Bełhatów, making it one of the most representative cities in Poland's economic transition.
