Located in the middle of Taipa Island in the Macau Special Administrative Region of China, Carmel Parish is one of the seven parishes in Macau, named after the centuries-old Our Lady of Carmel Church. Originally the core area of Taipa Island, the parish was later connected to Coloane by reclamation works, forming a unique "land-linked island" style. Within the parish, there are both Chinese and Western historical buildings, such as the Church of Our Lady of Camelot and the old Portuguese street in Coloane, as well as modern integrated tourist resorts, including the Venetian Macao and the Londoner and other well-known landmarks. The Marina Promenade, which overlooks the Macau International Airport, and the Rua da Cunha, which is home to Portuguese egg tarts, Macao Dou Lao and other specialties, are the epitome of the cultural fusion and vitality of Macau under the "one country, two systems" principle, combining historical heritage with modern urban charm.
