Located in the Pardubice region of the Czech Republic, close to the Czech-Polish border, Rudoltice is a peaceful South Bohemian town. Located about 30 kilometers from the capital city of Pardubice and nestled at the foot of the Orlice Mountains, the place has a beautiful natural environment and is known for its idyllic landscapes and traditional architecture.
The history of Rudolcice dates back to the Middle Ages, and several historical buildings in the Baroque style survive, including the St. Václav's Church and an 18th-century country manor house. The town has retained its typical Czech countryside, with timber-framed houses and stone paths adding to its quaint charm, making it an ideal place to experience traditional Bohemian life.
Surrounded by forests and hills, the area is suitable for hiking and cycling. In winter you can go skiing in the nearby Orlice Mountains, and in summer you can explore the ecological landscape of the Carpathian Mountains. The region is famous for its agriturismo and specialties such as mead, and visitors can take part in agricultural festivals and experience the simple rural culture.
The cities of Pardubice and Hradec Králové are easily accessible by road. The economy is based on agriculture and tourism, with small family workshops producing cheese, pottery and other handicrafts, making it a low-key but attractive tourist destination on the Czech border.
