Ruoqiang: Xinjiang's "First County of China" and the Pearl of the Silk Road
Ruoqiang County, belonging to Bayin'guoleng Mongol Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang, is the largest county in China with an area of about 202,300 square kilometers, bordered by Gansu and Qinghai in the east and Tibet in the south, and located in the southeast edge of the Tarim Basin, surrounded by the Arjinshan Mountain, Kunlun Mountain and Lop Nur.
