St. Jumi Androlia is one of the seven parishes of the Principality of Andorra and is located in the south of the country, next to the Spanish border with Catalonia. As the smallest but more densely populated parish in Andorra, its capital, the town of Sant Jumi Androlia, is an important commercial and industrial center for the country.
The area has a long history dating back to Roman times and takes its name from a 9th century martyr, St. Julia. The parish is home to one of the oldest churches in Andorra, the Church of St. Julia de Loria, which displays a distinctive Romanesque architectural style. Economically, the area is known for its retail and manufacturing industries and attracts many tourists, especially for its duty-free shopping.
Located on the banks of the Valira River and surrounded by mountains, Santa Giulia de Loria is a place of natural beauty, suitable for outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing. Its culture is a blend of Catalan traditions, reflected in the local festivals and cuisine. Conveniently connected to the city of Andorra and Spain by major highways, it is an ideal starting point for exploring the south of Andorra.
