Introduction to Trujillo, Peru
Trujillo is the capital of the La Libertad region in northwestern Peru, located in the Moche Valley on the Pacific coast, about 560 kilometers from the capital city of Lima. As the third largest city in Peru, Trujillo is known as the "Eternal Spring City" and is famous for its mild climate throughout the year.
History and Culture
Founded in 1534 by the Spanish conquistador Diego de Almagro, Trujillo is famous for its colonial architecture and its city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
