Distrito de Aco is located in the south-central part of Peru, belonging to the Huancavelica region, and is situated in the hinterland of the Andean Mountains, with an altitude of about 3,200 meters above sea level, which is a typical highland agricultural area. The area is centered on traditional farming culture, with hardy crops such as potatoes, quinoa and barley, and livestock breeding of alpacas and goats. The area retains some archaeological remains from the pre-Inca period, as well as old churches built during the colonial period, blending Indian and European cultural characteristics. Most of the inhabitants are Quechua, and the traditional "Sun Festival" is held every June, attracting tourists to experience the original Andean folklore. Despite the relative inconvenience of transportation, its pristine natural beauty and unique cultural heritage make it a niche destination for in-depth tours of Peru.
