Suizhong County is located in the southwestern part of Liaoning Province, China, under Huludao City, at the western end of the western Liaozhi Corridor, bordering the Bohai Sea, and is one of the coastal counties in the northeast region. It has a total area of about 2,765 square kilometers and a population of about 600,000 people. Suizhong has a long history and a rich cultural heritage, such as the ruins of the Ming Great Wall and the Jieshi Palace, which is rumored to have been the site of Qin Shi Huang's palace during his eastward patrol. The economy is based on agriculture, fishery and tourism, with specialties such as apples and seafood, and the gradual development of industry and new energy industry. Convenient transportation, Beijing-Harbin Railway and highway run through the whole territory, which is an important hub connecting Northeast China and North China.
Suizhong County, neighboring Xingcheng City in the east, Qinhuangdao City in Hebei Province in the west, the Bohai Sea in the south, and Jianchang County in the north, has a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, with warm and rainy summers and cold and dry winters. Its coastline is 75 kilometers long with several natural beaches, such as Stop Anchor Bay, which is a popular destination for summer tourism.
Suizhong's economy is based on the primary industry, and apple cultivation is famous throughout the country, known as the "Hometown of Apples in China". The tourism industry relies on coastal resources and historical sites, such as the Great Wall on the Water at Jiumen Gate and the Dongdaihe Scenic Spot, which attract a large number of tourists. In recent years, new energy and manufacturing industries have emerged, promoting the diversification of the regional economy.
