Introduction to Yangshan, Guangdong, China
Yangshan County is located in the northern part of Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, China, at the southern foot of the Nanling Mountain Range, and is an important county in the mountainous region of northern Guangdong. It has a total area of 3,418 square kilometers and a population of about 550,000 people. Famous for its karst landscape and natural beauty, Yangshan boasts attractions such as Guangdong's first peak, Shikeng Kong (1,902 meters above sea level), and the Shenpen Mountain Cave, and has a well-developed tourism industry. The economy is based on agriculture, and specialties include Yangshan chicken, crystal pears and organic vegetables. Transportation is convenient, with the Erguang Expressway and Qinglian Expressway running through the whole territory. Yangshan has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of Lingnan culture. It was established as a county during the Qin Dynasty, and has a rich cultural heritage.
