Dunhua, Jilin, China: Ecological and Humanistic Scroll of a Thousand-Year-Old Capital
Dunhua, located in the western part of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province, is an eco-tourism city in the hinterland of the Changbai Mountains, and is known as the "Ancient Capital of a Thousand Years and a Hundred Years County". It was once the capital city of the Bohai Kingdom (698-926), and the existing Bohai Kingdom ruins bear witness to the splendor of ancient civilization in Northeast Asia.
