Saint Lucia is an island nation in the eastern Caribbean Sea, north of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and south of Martinique, known for its magnificent volcanic landscapes and turquoise blue beaches. The capital, Castries, is the political and economic center and an important port city. The country's economy is anchored by tourism, which attracts tourists from around the globe to explore the famous Mount Piton (a World Natural Heritage Site), the Soufrière Volcano and the unique black sand beaches.
