Located in the southwestern part of Shannan City in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, at the northern foot of the middle Himalayas, Langkazi County is one of the important border counties in Tibet. With an average altitude of about 4,500 meters, the county boasts the famous Yamdrok Yumtso (Sheep Lake) scenic area, with a lake area of 638 square kilometers, which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Langkazi County under the jurisdiction of 2 townships and 8 townships, with a total population of about 35,000 people, with Tibetans as the main multi-ethnic settlement area.
