Yizhang County is located in the southern part of Hunan Province, China, under Chenzhou City, at the junction of Hunan and Guangdong, and is the "southern gate" of Hunan. It has a total area of 2,142 square kilometers and a population of about 630,000 people. It has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons and rich natural resources.
Yizhang is the birthplace of the Xiangnan Uprising, where Zhu De and Chen Yi once led the revolutionary struggle, and is known as the "Red Hot Land". There are national cultural relics protection units in Yizhang, such as the former site of the Xiangnan Nianguan Riot Command, and the red tourism resources are outstanding.
Agriculture is dominated by rice, tobacco and citrus, while industry covers energy and building materials. Specialties such as Mangshan black tea and Yizhang navel oranges are well known. The Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Wu-Shenzhen Highway pass through the city, making transportation convenient.

There are also attractions such as Layuan Ancient Village and Chishi Special Bridge, which receive more than one million tourists annually.
