Introduction to Pingshan County, Hebei, China
Located in the western part of China's Hebei Province, Pingshan County is part of the city of Shijiazhuang and is situated in the eastern foothills of the Taihang Mountains, covering a total area of 2,646 square kilometers. The county is famous for its revolutionary history, and is the location of Xibaipo, the holy land of the Communist Party of China (CPC) revolution, which was the residence of the CPC Central Committee during the War of Liberation, and is known as the place where "New China came from". With its mountainous terrain, Pingshan County is rich in natural resources, including natural scenic spots such as Tiangui Mountain and Hunchback Liang, as well as hot springs and agricultural specialties. The economy is dominated by tourism, agriculture and mining, with a population of about 500,000, and a temperate continental climate with four distinct seasons.
