Geographic location and administrative divisions of Fan County

Fan County is located in the northeastern part of Henan Province, at the junction of Henan and Shandong provinces, under the jurisdiction of Puyang City. It is connected with Taizian County in the east, Puyang County in the west, Jancheng County in Shandong Province in the south and Yanggu County in Shandong Province in the north. The county has a total area of 617 square kilometers, 7 towns and 5 townships under the jurisdiction of the Central Plains Economic Zone is an important gateway to the Shandong Peninsula.

History, Culture and Characteristic Resources

Fanxian County, which belonged to Yanzhou in ancient times, is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization and has a history of more than 2,400 years of city building. It is the place where Zheng Banqiao was once a governor, and retains historical relics such as the Zhangzhuang Ancient Town and Danzhu Cultural Ruins. As an old revolutionary area, the former site of the Jiluyu Border Region Command in Yancunpu has been listed as a classic scenic spot for national red tourism. The area is rich in wheat, corn and other crops, and its specialty, Fanxian big buns, is known far and wide.

Economic Development and Ecological Characteristics

Based on agriculture, Fan County has focused on the development of chemical and equipment manufacturing industries in recent years. The Jindi River National Wetland Park is rich in ecological resources, and the Yellow River beach area relocation project has formed a unique new rural landscape. With the Longhai Railway and Fanhui Expressway passing through the county, the transportation is convenient, and the county is gradually becoming an ecological and livable city in the northeast of Henan Province.
