Xichuan County: the core water source of the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Line
Xichuan County belongs to Nanyang City, Henan Province, located in the junction of Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi provinces, is located in the hinterland of Danjiangkou reservoir area. As the core water source of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project and the location of the head of the canal, the county has a water area of 506 square kilometers, shouldering the important mission of "a reservoir of clear water to the north.
Historical, Cultural and Ecological Characteristics
Xichuan is one of the birthplaces of the Chu culture, with the thousand-year-old temple Xiangyan Temple, Jingziguan Ancient Town and other historical sites.
