Temperate continental climate, with an average altitude of 1450 meters, with Ovoot Mountain Primitive Forest Area and Daqing Mountain Nature Reserve. Through the mine ecological restoration project, a national-level green mine demonstration area has been built, and the forest coverage rate has increased from 8% in the 1980s to 35% at present.
It has Wudangzhao, the holy site of Tibetan Buddhism (the three major Tibetan Buddhist monasteries along with Potala Palace and Tal Temple), the ruins of the Great Wall of Zhao in the Warring States period, and the Coal Industry Ruins Park.
