Shihtan, Taiwan, China: An Ecological and Humanistic Treasure in the Miaoli Mountainous Region
Located in the center of Miaoli County, Taiwan, Shihtan is a typical mountainous township, bordered by Tai'an Township in the east, Gongguan Township in the west, Dahu Township in the south, and Sanyi Township in the north, with a mountainous terrain, an average elevation of about 400 meters, and a forest coverage rate of as high as 70%, making it rich in ecological resources.
