Yingge, Taiwan, China: Town of Ceramic Art
Yingge is located in the southwestern part of New Taipei City, Taiwan, and is known as "Jingdezhen, Taiwan". The town is famous for its ceramics industry and has a history of more than 200 years of pottery production. The Yingge Ceramic Museum is a local cultural landmark, showcasing the rich history of pottery development and contemporary creations. The Old Street is home to many pottery workshops, experiential classes and specialty stores, where visitors can make their own pottery or shop for exquisite ceramic products.
In addition to ceramic culture, Yingge also preserves traditional red-brick buildings and kiln ruins, witnessing the changes in the industry.
