Yunmeng County, located in the east-central part of Hubei Province, China, belongs to Xiaogan City and is situated in the northeastern part of the Jianghan Plain, which is an ancient county with a long history. Its name originates from the ancient Yunmeng Ze, which is known as "one of the birthplaces of Chu culture". With a total area of about 604 square kilometers and a population of about 500,000, it has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, and agriculture and light industry are the main economic pillars.
Yunmeng has a rich cultural heritage, such as the famous Sleeping Tiger Land Qin Simplified Documents unearthed here, which is a world-class archaeological discovery.
