Introduction to Zuoquan County, Shanxi, China
Zuoquan County is located in the southeastern part of China's Shanxi Province, under Jinzhong City, at the western foot of the Taihang Mountains, and is an old revolutionary area named after General Zuoquan, a hero of the Anti-Japanese War. With a total area of about 2,028 square kilometers and a population of about 160,000, the county has a temperate continental climate with four distinct seasons. Zuoquan County is dominated by agriculture and forestry, producing agricultural products such as walnuts and millet, as well as mineral resources such as coal. As a red tourism destination, there are historical relics such as General Zuoquan Martyrs' Cemetery and the Memorial Hall of the Eighth Route Army Headquarters in Mastian, while the natural scenery is characterized by the Taihang Mountain Canyon and the wetlands of Qingzhang River. In terms of transportation, it relies on a network of highways to connect with neighboring cities and counties, and the economy is gradually transforming into ecotourism and green industries.
